To further explore the signaling mechanisms underlying breast CSCs maintenance in breast tissues, we employed microarray analysis, to compare the 3 observed mammosphere formation groups: M0, M1, and M2, identified by in vitro cultivation of breast biopsy tissue samples. Gene expression in breast tissue samples was evaluated in relation to mammosphere formation in vitro, from matching fresh biopsies.
