Interview Questions-EN and Codebook-career-transition
收藏资源简介:
The software development sector is rapidly growing, driven by flexibility, better opportunities, and dissatisfaction with previous careers. However, transitioning into this field involves technical, emotional, and organizational challenges. This study investigates the key factors influencing this transition, focusing on software development. To achieve this, the Socio-Technical Grounded Theory (STGT) approach was adopted, conducting interviews with 15 professionals, analyzed through open coding and categorization, resulting in a conceptual model. The results highlight that intrinsic motivations (affinity for technology and desire for learning) and extrinsic motivations (flexibility and better financial conditions), along with transferable skills (communication and autonomy), are crucial for a successful transition. It is concluded that integrating professionals into the sector requires strategies that align individual competencies with organizational practices, facilitating adaptation and growth in the field.
