Identification of alternative promoters of imprinted genes

Alternative promoters are involved in the targeting of de novo DNA methylation to the ICRs (Imprinting Control Regions). Thus, we performed a series of next-generation-sequencing (NGS)-based 5'RACE (Rapid Amplification of cDNA Ends) experiments with a set of total RNA isolated from the hypothalamus, neonatal brain, ovary and testis of the mouse.
