RWI-PIK-CAPRI: Carbon Price Preferences - Wave 1

The survey assesses the acceptance of CO2 pricing in Germany. In detail, one group of survey participants was presented with videos informing them about their most pressing concern about a carbon price,  and subsequently inquired about their acceptance of a carbon price. Another group was shown multiple pie charts representing possible redistribution shares connected to certain carbon levels. As a final part, revealed preferences about different redistribution options were elicited. Afterward, participants' environmental attitudes and psychological characteristics were elicited before concluding with sociodemographic questions at the household and individual levels.
