Dataset for: Laterality, Shot Direction and Spatial Asymmetry in Decisive Penalty Kicks: Evidence from Elite Men’s Football

This dataset supports the study <i>“Laterality, Shot Direction and Spatial Asymmetry in Decisive Penalty Kicks: Evidence from Elite Men’s Football”</i> published in <b>Symmetry</b> (MDPI). The research examines spatial patterns, laterality effects, and performance effectiveness in <b>212 decisive penalty kicks</b> taken in elite men’s football competitions.Using an observational methodology, the data capture contextual, spatial, and outcome-related variables associated with penalty execution, including shot direction, target zones, player laterality, and success outcomes.
