Transcriptome sequencing of fruit branch angle in cotton

The fruit branch angle (FBA) is a key factor in cotton plant architecture, determining the plant density per unit area and contributes greatly to yield. Accordingly, clarifying the genetics determining branch angles will be of great value for continuous improvements in cotton architecture. So we selected two cotton cultivated varieties whose FBA significantly differ were used to identify and analyze the genes and related metabolic pathways involved in FBA via RNA Sequencing (RNA-Seq) techniques.
