#Sonar Opinion Polls: #-------------------- #From August 1989 Sonar has regularly carried out a number of opinion polls, i.e. surveys of attitudes and habits of life of the adult Danish population. The opinion polls have been carried out approx. 10 times a year, and each opinion poll includes about six different subjects as well as the question of the respondent's voting intention at a hypothetical general election on the day of the interview. # The opinion polls have been carried out in collaboration with the daily paper Morgenavisen Jyllands-Posten. The subjects for the individual opinion polls are agreed upon at meetings between the editorial staff of Morgenavisen Jyllands-Posten and Sonar; however, the wording of the questions is the sole responsibility of Sonar. # The following background information is included in the data material: #The household: #- Total number of persons #- Sex and age of the household members #- Type of dwelling #- Car in household #- Geocode-2 # #The respondent: #- Year of birth #- Sex #- Gainful employment #- Designation of occupation #- Membership of a trade organization #- If yes: Which organization #- Vote at the last general election #- Driving in own car # #Sonar Opinion Polls, 1991: #-------------------------- # In 1991 Sonar carried out 10 opinion polls. All the questions have been included in DDA-1690: Sonar Opinion Polls, 1991. In addition, the individual opinion polls are found in DDA-1691 to DDA-1700. # #This survey (DDA-1700 Sonar Opinion Polls 1991: November) deals with the following issues: #Party preference; vote at a hypothetical referendum on Danish membership of the EC today; attitude to a number of statements regarding the future development of the EC; attitude to the coming into being of the Single European Market; the right of EC citizens to purchase land and property in Denmark; attitude to the coming referendum on the EC Union (should it be consultative or binding?); attitude to various social security benefits (old age pension, the so-called 'child cheque'), and whether the amount should be earnings-related; positive and negative aspects of Christmas; expectations of 1992 as regards Denmark's economic situation, the family's standard of living and the unemployment rate; various types of equipment in the household (record player, compact disc player, tape recorder, stereo set, television set, video tape recorder, telephone, mobile telephone, telefax, and personal computer); and use of personal computer
