Spodoptera litura (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) is one of the major crop and vegetable insect distributed worldwide, which has developed resistance to multiple insecticides. Revealing and exploring the molecular basis and key candidate genes of the insecticide response of S. litura have great importance for controlling this pest. In this study, fifth-instar S. litura larvae were subjected to transcriptome analysis at 6, 12, 24, 48 and 72 h after feeding with an LC20 dose of avermectin to study the dynamic changes in their transcriptomes and key genes during insecticide response.
