This data set forms part of a study comparing microscopic analyses with DNA metabarcoding as tools to infer in-situ diets of myctophid fishes. Sequence data is barcoded, with each barcode identifying a unique fish. Fish samples were selected to cover an environmental temperature gradient in the Scotia Sea region of the Southern Ocean.
