We analyzed small-RNA sequencing data from plasma-derived exosome (PEV) from a cohort of NSCLC patients at different stages. We identified two ED miRNAs in circulation able to distinguish between normal and tumor sample subtypes. A total of 26 frozen plasma samples received as generous gift from the NYU plasma bank (courtesy of H.I. Pass MD, IRB approved protocol) and grouped into the following three categories: 7 control smokers, 11 early stage NSCLC, and 8 late stage NSCLC.
