Expression data from wild-type and MURC knockout male mouse hearts

Muscle-restricted coiled-coil protein (MURC)/Cavin-4, which is a component of caveolae, is involved in the pathophysiology of dilated cardiomyopathy and cardiac hypertrophy. We used microarrays to examine the gene expression of mouse hearts perturbed by MURC deficieny. Left ventricule tissue from 10–13-week-old wild type (WT) and MURC knockout (KO) male mouse hearts were collected for RNA extraction and hybridization on Affymetrix microarrays. We sought to obtain the gene expression data perturbed by MURC dificiency to understand pathophisiology of heart disease.
