Connecting to Country, Cultural Corridors Goomal Trail, Conservation of Trail - Stage 1

This project is the first stage of a two staged project to construct the Goomal Cultural Trail that runs through Roelands Aboriginal Village. The project will deliver significant environmental improvements and long term benefits to the area, which is greatly valued by the regional community and provides critical habitat for a number of endangered species. Key strategies to manage environmental threats include weed management, debris removal and fencing of the site. Cultural interpretation with Traditional Owners using traditional cultural protocols will also commence, so that information can be prepared for inclusion in appropriate signage and other materials as deemed appropriate by the Elders.
