Parkes observations for project P943 semester 2020APRS_01

We request observing time at the Parkes telescope for observing five millisecond pulsars - PSR J1120-3618, PSR J1207-5050, PSR J1536-4948, PSR J1646-2142 and PSR J1828+0625. These MSPs were discovered in a survey of Fermi unidentified gamma-ray sources with the GMRT. Radio polarisation properties of these MSPs are hitherto unexplored, and observations with the Parkes UWL receiver will be very valuable in that aspect. Main aims of this proposal are, (i) Investigation of emission geometry and probing the origin of radio and gamma-ray emission with relative phase alignment using polarisation observations with the Parkes telescope. (ii) Investigation of profile evolution and spectra for these MSPs from 150 MHz to 4 GHz with Parkes and GMRT observations. Proposed radio polarisation study with the Parkes telescope over the large bandwidth UWL receiver between 0.7 to 4 GHz, will complement our knowledge on spectra and profile evolution below 700 MHz with the GMRT observations. We request 16-hours of observing time at the Parkes to perform this study.
