Ray-finned fishes Raw sequence reads

This dataset contains raw sequence reads used in a comparative genomic study investigating the evolution of endothermy in ray-finned fishes. By integrating phylogenomic, ecomorphological, and fossil data, the study reveals that interactions with early cetaceans likely played a role in the emergence of endothermy. The genomic data support adaptive evolution in key metabolic and developmental genes in endothermic fish lineages.
