PACS: Gridded Daily Precipitation from CPC. Version 1.0

This data set contains daily gridded precipitation covering the region from 20 N to 60 N latitude and 60 W to 150 W longitude. From April 07, 1997 to March 03, 1998, the resolution of the data is 1 degree longitude by 1 degree latitude. Since March 04, 1998, the analysis's resolution is 0.25 degree longitude by 0.25 degree latitude. The data set contains data for the period April 07, 1998 thru May 31, 1999, However data is missing for the period January 01, 1998 thru March 03,1998. This data can be displayed using the GrADS software package. An example control file needed to display the data in GrADS is included in the README. Consult the README for more details.
