LINGUODIDACTIC FOUNDATIONS FOR DEVELOPING LISTENING COMPREHENSION COMPETENCE OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE STUDENTS THROUGH AUTHENTIC MATERIALS

The development of listening comprehension competence is a fundamental objective of contemporary foreign language education. This study explores the linguodidactic foundations of developing listening comprehension competence among Foreign Language and Literature students through authentic materials. Employing a qualitative descriptive-analytical approach, the research synthesizes contemporary theories of communicative language teaching, sociocultural learning, constructivism, and competency-based education. The findings indicate that authentic materials significantly enhance learners' linguistic, communicative, strategic, and intercultural competences by exposing them to real-life language use and meaningful communication. The study also proposes methodological principles for the effective integration of authentic listening resources into higher education.
