In order to investigate the effects of different diets on larval development, newly molted third instar larvae of H. armigera were reared on artificial diet (AD) or Arabidopsis thaliana (AT). After 4 days, fat body was dissected for RNA isolation and sequencing to identify lipid-related genes and micro RNAs.
