WK 4 Sweepnet Dataset

Method: This was done individually because our group split up and completed our datasets separately so as to be time efficient. I began by laying out a 100ft transect line in the grasslands in a relatively straight line. Once the path was prepared I then took the bugnet and, slowly walking along the line, attempted to capture as many organisms as I could with 2 feet from the line. One run took approximately 1.5 mintues. The number of RTUs, total number of organisms, and total number of each RTUS was then plotted in a chart. This process was then repeated another 9 times, then after the line was placed again in the woodlot, another 10 times at that location.
