Meteorological data, OpenFOAM files and processed data of: observational and numerical study of the combined effect of slope winds and sea breezes in the North-East coast of Spain

The dataset contains meteorological data, OpenFOAM files, and processed data from the paper titled “Observational and numerical study of the combined effect of slope winds and sea breezes on the North-East coast of Spain.”
The dataset includes: (1) the “Numerical simulations” folder (divided into three parts), (2) observational data (wind speed and temperature) collected at a meteorological station during the study period (from 01/Mar/2023 to 29/Feb/2024), and (3) one video corresponding to the simulated base case.
The “Numerical simulations” folder contains all the numerical cases presented in the paper. It is organized into several subfolders that follow the structure of the paper: “MeshValidation”, “TimeStepValidation”, “DomainHeightStudy”, “MountainBaseLengthStudy”, and “SlopeStudy”.
Each case includes the required “0”, “system”, and “constant” directories to run the simulations in OpenFOAM. In addition, for each case we provide .txt files with post-processed data computed at 2 km from the sea (“data_at2km_fromSea”) and, when applicable, also at 2 km upslope ("data_at2km_upslope") from the mountain foot (projected distance).
