erpopulation variation in egg mortality in response to hot and dry conditions in North American populations of the invasive tiger mosquito, Aedes albopictus

The data presented here originates from three experiments published in one journal article. The first experiment tested for population differences in mosquito egg survival in the globally invasive tiger mosquito, Aedes albopictus. In this experiment, eggs from nine North American strains were tested in a laboratory chamber experiment in response to two temperature and two humidity treatments. In the second experiment, we tested for egg survival in those same populations under field conditions in July as well as for survival differences among wild caught eggs. The third experiment tested for carry-over effects of egg temperatures on larval survival during a simulated heatwave.
