Explore 2 dataset: a set of regionalized and bias corrected climate projections for impact studies over France.

Within the Explore2 project (2021-2024, funded by French Ecology Ministry and OFB and led by INRAE for scientific issues and the Office International de l'Eau (OiEau) for users support, an expertized set of regionalized bias-corrected climate projections from the latest EURO-Cordex excercise is built. It is set to cover the French territory with the main objective of updating knowledge of the impact of climate change on hydrology in France. The data-set is meant to provide climate infromation and to feed surface and groundwater hydrological impact models.
The data-set contains bias-corrected regional simulations thoughtfully selected from the EURO-Cordex ensemble. Future projections cover the period 2006 – 2099. 17 GCM/RCM pairs follow the RCP8.5 scenario; 9 GCM/RCM pairs follow the RCP4.5 scenario and 10 GCM/RCM pairs the RCP2.6 scenario. For each pair the historical simulation is also available over the period 1976-2005. All simulations are available at the daily time step.
Two statistical bias correction methods are applied, namely ADAMONT and CDF-t.
A set of variables is available, spanning near surface temperature, total precipitation, humidity, solar radiation, wind speed and potential evapotranspiration.
