Expression data from PC3 cells treated with astragalus polysaccharides

Astragalus polysaccharides (APS), as one of the main effective components of astragalus, have been reported to regulate the processes of inflammation, metabolism, and carcinogenes. We used microarrays to detect the different expression of mRNA in PC3 cells upon APS treatment. PC3 cells were treated with APS at 10mg/mL and negative control for 48h. Then, total RNAs were extracted by using Trizol reagent (Invitrogen). The mRNA array data were analyzed by using the GeneSpring softwore V13.0 (Agilent). To select the differentially expression genes, we used thresholdvalues of ≥2 and ≤2-fold change and a T-test p value of 0.05.
