This series comprises applications by Councils for funds under the Special Employment Scheme of 1982. An evaluation sheet is attached to the cover of each application. The evaluation sheet consists of a set of criteria for judging each application with boxes to record whether the application meets this criteria, comments, the decision of the Budget Branch and occasionally the reasons for the decision. The applications record the name of the Council, a brief description of the project, proposed commencement date and duration, details of the estimated cost, proposed number of people to be employed, details of wages, and proposed basis of funds. They include copies of correspondence, working papers, reviews of expenditure by various employment schemes, and occasionally more detailed descriptions of the projects along with maps and plans.(12/1457-58). 2 boxes.
