Data and Metadata for Solo Survey BIOL 3250 (Fall 2022)

METADATA: Date: Format of date was day, month, year. Transect distance: Measured using field tape, laid straight across distinct areas. Weather: Temperature in Celsius and cloud cover recorded during data collection. Location: Distinct areas were where transect was laid down. Identified using adjacent buidlings. Species richness: Visual count of all different species with roots inside the quadrat. Total cover: Estimated by splitting quadrat area into 4 squares each covering 25%. Disturbance: Determined by visual signs of human traffic (exposed dirt/footprints etc.) along with limited pilot observation of sites. Disturbance was considered same for each distinct area. Nearby vegetation: Using visual identification and in some cases, iNaturalist and Google.
