This dataset supports a study on ultrafast nanothermometry of gold nanoparticles using transient absorption spectroscopy. Gold nanoparticles of 23.5 nm and 39 nm were investigated in water and DMF:water medium. Three experimental methods were developed to extract the temperatures of both the particles and their surrounding environment. The study addresses the challenge of resolving transient temperature dynamics in plasmonic systems under ultrafast heating conditions.
