We used sn-RNA-seq to profile the transcriptome of term placenta from two different maternal BMI conditions (maternal obesity: BMI >= 35; lean: 18.5-25). Frozen human term placental samples were defrosted and nuclei were isolated. 20 samples (10 from the maternal facing side, 10 from the fetal facing side) were profiled using sn-RNA-seq (10X, v 3.1). Maternal facing side: 3 lean and 7 MO samples Fetal facing side: 4 lean and 6 MO samples
