This fragment of Amîr Khusrau’s Ḳiṣṣa-i-Khiḍr-khânî (as it is styled here) comprises less than one third of the whole poem; it begins with the following heading (corresponding to No. 2796, 1215 in this Cat., fol. 25a): قلم زدن نخست در شرع تيغ زدن جمهور سلاطين ماضيّه على الخصوص در آثار ذوالفقار محمّد علاء الدنيا و الدين،

First bait (not found in No. 2796):

كنون از باغ اصلى نو كنم بر - زشاخ خشك ريزم ميوۀ تر

Last two headings (on ff. 72a and 76b): گرم شدن چشم دولرانى در روى شمس الحقّ ، و الدين خضرخان واز ناب مهر آب در چشمش گشتن و مهربان گشتن آن چشمۀ مهربان نیلوفر هندی و چون شعاع خورشید بصفراء زمين حکایت and افتادن، (= No. 2796, ff. 48a and 57a).

The initial bait of the latter is:

بمهمانى بزى شد كهنه ميشى

بپهلو خارشی بر پشت ریشی

The final bait of the fragment (not found in No. 2796) is:

بفردوس حرم با غيب دلكش

كه فردوس ارم نبود چنان خوش‘
