A derived dataset showing the top-ranked GitHub trending developers for each year, based on weighted scoring of their trending appearances across 41,841 raw data points from the Wayback Machine. The dataset includes 8,125 ranked developers covering 2015 to 2025 (11 years) with 4,763 unique developers. The data is sorted by year (descending: 2025 → 2015) and rank within each year. The dataset has two configurations: yearly (default) with top-ranked developers by year, and full with complete daily trending data. The scoring methodology calculates scores based on each trending appearances rank, rewarding frequent appearances and high rankings. The dataset also provides key insights such as yearly winners, all-time top 10 developers, and trend shifts over time.
