This study depicts a novel mechanism by which CVC alleviates liver fibrosis by restoring the immune cell landscape. CVC can inhibit profibrotic gene transcription via inactivating the CCR2-STAT1/NF&B/ERK signaling pathways. One liver fibrosis model was induced by intraperitoneal injection of carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) with wild type for 6 weeks. For the treatment experiment, mice were injected with CCl4 for 3 weeks to establish liver fibrosis, and interventions of 2 doses of CCl4 and 4 doses of CVC per week were carried out for another 3 weeks. Control mice received the same volume of olive oil.
