Stroke is a leading cause of long-term disability, and most patients do not achieve optimal neurological recovery despite rehabilitation. This highlights the need for supplementary approaches that can facilitate neuroplasticity processes to expedite cognitive and motor recovery. Brainwave stimulation, such as tACS, neurofeedback training, and auditory/visual entrainment, has significant potential as complementary therapies in stroke rehabilitation because they can support patients' multidimensional recovery through neuroplasticity mechanisms.
