The 9-gene panel test was conducted on each thyroid FNA sample to identify the distribution and diagnostic impact of genomic alterations. Based on different types of mutations, the 9-gene panel test improved the preoperative assessment of thyroid FNAs. The probability of FNAs positive mutation was associated with the risk of malignancy (ROM) of each diagnostic class.
