Raw data of leaf functional traits of Nectandra angustifolia (Lauraceae) under contrasting light conditions in a Neotropical floodplain

This dataset contains raw leaf anatomical and functional trait measurements of Nectandra angustifolia (Lauraceae) collected in floodplain habitats under contrasting light conditions (sun-exposed and shaded environments). The data include morphological traits, such as leaf area, leaf width and length, leaf mass per area and specific leaf area, and anatomical traits, such as cuticle, epidermis, palisade and spongy parenchyma, total mesophyll and leaf blade thickness, and xylem traits (conductive area, vessel diameter, vessel vulnerability index and fibres cell-wall thickness), as well as stomatal density and index and stomatal complex traits (guard cells length and width and subsidiary cells width). All measurements were obtained from mature, undamaged leaves collected during winter, using optical microscopy and ImageJ for quantitative analyses. The dataset corresponds to the raw data used in the manuscript submitted to Acta Botanica Brasilica.
