In this study, the contribution of the bulk soil bacterial community on the corn (Zea mays) and soybean (Glycine max) crop rotation effect was evaluated in a South-Central Wisconsin no-tillage system over the 2017 and 2018 growing seasons. Soil bacterial communities of long-term continuous corn and soybean monocultures, annual corn-soybean rotations, and five-year corn-soybean short-term monocultures were evaluated before planting, at midseason, and at harvest. These sequences are the raw reads from the three Illumina Miseq run that were conducted for this study.
