资源简介:
In 2021, some 77.5 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent were emitted in Austria. As a result, greenhouse gas emissions were around 1.9% lower than in 1990. Following the significant decline in the pandemic year 2020, the year 2021 saw an increase of 4.9% year-on-year. The main reasons for this are higher steel production, increased electricity production in gas-fired power plants, more energy use in buildings due to weather conditions and more traffic volume. Overall, the non-ETS sectors emitted around 48.8 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent in 2021. Emissions were thus slightly higher than the 2021 ceiling.
