Occupancy rate decrease in hospitality due to coronavirus in the Netherlands 2020

According to a survey conducted on the effect of the coronavirus in the hospitality sector, the hotel and restaurant industry saw a 40 percent decrease in occupancy rate due to the coronavirus. Furthermore, leisure companies registered 41 percent less occupancy, whereas fast services saw a decrease of 33 percent. When looking at the impact of Covid-19 on the revenue of food services, it is estimated that food services will be dealing with revenue losses of 630 million euros a month in total in the Netherlands.
