资源简介:
Mammalian mature milk is home to a diverse and intricate microbial community that profoundly impacts host health through unique metabolic processes. A widely accepted hypothesis posits that these microbes, residing in the host's gut, generate short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) through the breakdown of carbohydrates, resulting in various advantageous health effects. Nonetheless, the association between SCFA content in raw milk and milk microbiota remains a subject of uncertainty. In this study, we employed 16S high-throughput sequencing and GC-MS mass spectrometry to meticulously scrutinize the microbiome and SCFAs present in milk from 15 distinct mammalian species.
