RNA expression of orthotopic radiorecurrent DU145 prostate tumour cells

Human DU145 prostate cancer cells were mock-irradiated or irradiated in vitro via conventional fractionation to generate a radiorecurrent DU145 cell line (CF) and corresponding parental control cell line (PAR). Cells were then orthotopically injected into the prostates of athymic nude mice. The resulting PAR and CF tumours grown over 6 weeks were excised and RNA was extracted. Tumour RNA was then sequenced to evaluate RNA expression of orthotopic CF tumours compared to PAR tumours.
