This project aims to use single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), generated by the genotyping-by-sequencing (GBS) methodology, to study Helicoverpa armigera and Helicoverpa zea populations collected from 13 locations covering the main soybean and maize producing areas in Brazil. The primary goal of the project is to characterize diversity, population structure, and the levels of interspecific gene flow between the two species across different areas in Brazil.
