In the present study, we employed Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT) single-molecule long-read sequencing technology for whole-transcriptome profiling in Ningdu yellow chicken. The results provide a comprehensive set of reference transcripts and hence contribute to the improved annotation of chicken genome.
