SPF C57BL/6 mice received lethal dose TBI and were monitored over 120 days. Fecal samples were collected from each single mouse at day -1 before TBI, day 2,7, 21 and 30 post TBI. After Day 30 post TBI, mice that survived are referred to as elite-survivors and mice that died are referred to as succumbers. Sequencing of fecal 16S rRNA were conducted.
