VulneraCity – Coastal Flooding Physical Vulnerability Drivers (Cleaned Subset)

A carefully chosen portion of the original VulneraCity v1.0.1 database makes up this dataset.  It focuses on the physical vulnerability factors associated with urban coastal flooding.  To increase uniformity and usefulness, 107 entries in all were cleaned and standardized.  For improved traceability, column names were harmonized, missing or unnecessary fields were eliminated, and unique identifiers were introduced.

 This carefully selected dataset aims to promote open data sharing and serve as an example of sound data curation techniques.  It is based on the original VulneraCity dataset that was released on Zenodo. It complies with FAIR principles by guaranteeing that the data can be found by DOI registration, is available under an open license (CC-BY 4.0), is interoperable with standardized metadata, and can be reused with explicit provenance information.

Research on urban vulnerability in coastal environments, infrastructure development, and catastrophe risk assessment can all benefit from this information.
