The transcriptome analysis was used to investigate how soil texture affected the gene expression of D.discoideum cells, amoeba-bacterium interactions and the reasons for the changes of fitness and morphology of D.discoideum from the genetic level. We used transcriptomic analyses to further elucidate potential mechanisms for the effects of soil texture on the environmental fitness and development of D. discoideum.
