Nature of a Maser-Emitting and EGRET Source SNR: SNR-Molecular Cloud Interaction

The interaction between SNRs and molecular clouds causes immediate heating andchanges the chemical composition of the surrounding gas, emitting thermal andnonthermal Xrays, OH maser lines, and gammarays. However, what causes thepartial overlap among maseremitting SNRs, EGRET source SNRs, SNRs withparticular Xray properties such as mixedmorphology SNRs is still unclear. CTB37A is a radiobright Galactic SNR, and is accompanied by OH masers and EGRETsource.
