<br> In order to dispose of the competition problem between acidophiles and sulfate-reducing bacteria in tailing wastewater bioremediation, research the mechanism of different nitrogen sources to adjust microbial community, the competition experiments of acidophiles and sulfate-reducing bacteria were conducted. The physiochemical properties were determined using ICP, XRD, and microbial community structure was investigated by MiSeq sequencing. The results indicated inorganic nitrogen was positively and organic nitrogen was negatively correlated with redox potential, dissolved sulfur and dissolved iron (<i>p</i>>0.05), inorganic nitrogen was negatively and organic nitrogen was positively correlated with pH (<i>p</i>>0.05). Inorganics nitrogen could significantly accelerate the deterioration and organic nitrogen could promote the improvement of tailing wastewater physiochemical properties. Inorganic nitrogen was positively correlated with <i>Acidithiobacillus</i>, <i>Leptospirillum</i> and negatively correlated with <i>Acidiphilium</i> (<i>p</i>>0.05). Organic nitrogen was significantly positively correlated with <i>Desulfosporosinus</i> and <i>Desulfotomaculum</i> (<i>p</i><0.01) and negatively correlated with<i> Acidithiobacillus</i>, <i>Leptospirillum</i> (<i>p</i>>0.05). Inorganic nitrogen supplementation is unfavorable and organic nitrogen supplementation is beneficial for microbial community adjustment to the favorable microbes.
