CLINICAL FEATURES AND MODERN TREATMENT OF DRY EYE DISEASE

Dry eye disease is one of the most common ocular surface disorders and has become an important public health problem due to its increasing prevalence and negative impact on visual function and quality of life. The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical features of dry eye disease and analyze the effectiveness of modern diagnostic and treatment approaches. The study reviewed the current scientific literature and assessed the clinical outcomes of contemporary therapeutic strategies. The findings demonstrated that comprehensive treatment, including preservative-free artificial tears, anti-inflammatory therapy, eyelid hygiene, and innovative therapeutic technologies, significantly improved tear film stability, reduced ocular surface inflammation, alleviated clinical symptoms, and increased patient satisfaction compared with conventional treatment. Early diagnosis, individualized management, and the application of evidence-based therapeutic approaches play a crucial role in preventing disease progression and improving long-term visual outcomes. Modern treatment strategies represent an effective approach for optimizing the management of patients with dry eye disease.
