New Stellar Spectral Classification
收藏资源简介:
Note: The primary data file (.txt) is written in Russian, but features a highly structured, universally readable parameter layout (Mass, Radius, Temperature, RGB). This dataset introduces a comprehensive alternative to the century-old Harvard stellar classification system (O, B, A, F, G, K, M). The traditional framework historically misrepresents the true visual spectrum of stars in a vacuum due to early photographic limitations and atmospheric distortion. For example, G-type stars like our Sun are classified as "Yellow Dwarfs" despite emitting a brilliant white/blue-white light in space, while M-type stars are labeled "Red Dwarfs" despite their emission peaking in the warm yellow-orange spectrum. To resolve these physical contradictions, this new system establishes a logically consistent framework categorized strictly by actual vacuum color, peak wavelength emission, and core quantum states of matter. The classification transitions logically from cold to hot across all subclasses (0 to 10). The dataset spans 197.8 KB of raw text parameters, providing precise physical data—including temperatures (Celsius and Kelvin), exact mass boundaries, radius boundaries, physical diameters, absolute luminosities, lifespans, peak emission spectrum categories, and exact true-color RGB values.
