Dataset on surface forcing sensitivity in the Model Uncertainty Model Intercomparison Project (MUMIP)
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains the output underlying MUMIP Surface sensitivity analysis presented in a manuscript. The IFS Single-column model has been run for three experiments with dynamical forcing derived from an ICON DYAMOND simulation. In each of the three experiments the surface forcing has been adjusted slightly - native surface forcing from IFS, ICON forcing and with constant or time-varying SSTs, as described in the manuscript. In addition, the three other models have been run with a selected surface forcing (as also described in the manuscript). The experiments cover 5 days of (pseudo-)Indian Ocean simulations with two initialisations per day. Forecasts are issued for six hours. State variables are available for download on model coordinates for IFS and on pressure levels for all models. Furthermore, diabatic heating tendencies of IFS for one selected initialisation. For each initialisation column tendencies like accumulated surface heat fluxes, precipitation fluxes and longwave radiation are provided. Finally, the highest level of neutral buoyancy (LNB) is provided for two of the IFS experiments, one of which is used in the manuscript. Please find the datasets in the corresponding files of each experiment, at initial conditions (if applicable - N/A to accumulated tendencies!), valid time 30 mins wherever available (IFS only), 60 mins, and 360 mins.
