Bacterial 16s rRNA gene abundance based on quantitative PCR data from incubations with hydrocarbons
收藏资源简介:
DNA-based stable-isotope probing with uniformly (13)C-labelled hydrocarbons followed by DNA sequencing was used to identify oil degrading bacteria present in surface and oil plume water associated with the Deepwater Horizon blowout. Further, qPCR specific to the groups identified as being involved in oil degradation via DNA-SIP was performed to show these groups respond to oil addition with increased abundance. This dataset includes 16S rRNA gene abundances acquired via qPCR. Data were generated through laboratory incubations of surface water collected near 28° 4.175N 88°22.335 W on May 5th 2010 and within plume water collected on May 31st 2010 at 28° 41.686 N 88° 26.081 W. The dataset listed under this UDI: R1.x132.135:0001 - is exclusive to Hydrocarbon-degrading bacterial DNA sequence and abundance.
