Influenza virus decreases albumin uptake and megalin expression in alveolar epithelial cells

To investigate whether influenza A virus (IV) infection impairs alveolar protein clearance we analyzed AEC and BAL cells of IV-infected mice. We performed gene expression profiling analysis using data obtained from RNA-seq of AEC and BAL cells after 5 days of IV infection. Comparative gene expression profiling analysis of RNA-seq data for mouse lung alveolar epithelial cells and bronchoalveolar lavage cells under influenza A infection conditions.
