Functionalized Graphene for Development of Nanoparticle Dispersants
收藏资源简介:
This dataset reports results of a comprehensive analysis on the physical and chemical properties of polyoligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) decorated graphene nanoplatelets synthesized using n-butyl lithium (n-BuLi). X-ray diffraction (XRD) was performed to assess the effect of chemical modification on the lattice parameters of graphene. XRD was performed using a Rigaku TT RAX 3 XRD machine with a Cu target (CuKalpha radiation with wavelength = 0.154 nm) in the range of 2theta from 10-60 degrees. Raman spectra were used to characterize defects formed from grafting both pristine and modified materials. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) was performed to determine thermal behavior in an inert atmosphere from room temperature to 800 degrees Celsius. Results from XRD, Raman spectroscopy and TGA are included in this dataset. This dataset supports the publication Mondal, T., Bhowmick, A.L, and Ramanan Krishnamoorti, 2014, Butyl lithium assisted direct grafting of polyoligomeric silsesquioxane onto graphene, RSC Adv., 4, 8649, doi: 10.1039/c3ra47373b.
